2026 COMMITTEE

 

The 2026 AFL Mount Isa Committee is comprised of dedicated and committed volunteers who play a vital role in the governance and delivery of the competition.

The Committee is responsible for overseeing the operations of the league, including competition management, compliance, development initiatives, and the ongoing support of clubs, players, and officials. Through strong leadership and collaboration, the Committee works to ensure the competition is conducted in a fair, inclusive, and professional manner.

With a focus on sustainability and growth, the 2026 Committee is committed to strengthening Australian Rules Football within the Mount Isa community, while providing a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants.

The Committee acknowledges the continued support of clubs, volunteers, and the wider community, whose contributions are essential to the success of AFL Mount Isa.

The President of AFL Mount Isa provides leadership and direction for the league, ensuring the competition operates effectively and in the best interests of all clubs, players, and stakeholders.

In this role, the President oversees league operations, chairs committee meetings, and supports the development and implementation of strategic initiatives. They act as a key point of contact for clubs and external stakeholders, while promoting a positive, inclusive, and community-focused environment.

The President plays a vital role in guiding the growth and sustainability of AFL Mount Isa, ensuring the league continues to thrive both on and off the field.

The Vice President of AFL Mount Isa supports the President in providing leadership and direction for the league and assists in ensuring the effective operation of the competition.

In this role, the Vice President contributes to decision-making, supports the coordination of league activities, and steps in to undertake the duties of the President when required. They work closely with the Committee to help implement strategic initiatives, maintain strong relationships with clubs, and promote a positive and inclusive environment across the competition.

The Vice President plays an important role in supporting the ongoing development, stability, and success of AFL Mount Isa.

The Secretary of AFL Mount Isa is responsible for the administration and communication of the league, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all committee processes.

In this role, the Secretary coordinates meetings, prepares and distributes agendas and minutes, and manages official correspondence between the league, clubs, and external stakeholders. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate records and ensuring that all documentation is up to date and accessible.

The Secretary plays a key role in supporting the Committee by ensuring clear communication, strong organisation, and effective governance across the competition.

Che Carslake and Jack Connors 



The Treasurer of AFL Mount Isa is responsible for the financial management and oversight of the league, ensuring all financial operations are conducted accurately and transparently.

In this role, the Treasurer manages income and expenditure, maintains financial records, prepares budgets, and provides regular financial reports to the Committee. They also oversee invoicing, payments, and ensure the league meets all financial obligations.

The Treasurer plays a critical role in supporting the sustainability of the competition by ensuring sound financial practices and accountability, helping to maintain the long-term success of AFL Mount Isa.

Georgia Garvie, Brad Harris, Scott Dalton, Josh Raitilava, Michael Saly and Darcy Fry 

 

General Committee Members play an important supporting role in the governance and operation of AFL Mount Isa. They contribute to decision-making, assist with the coordination of league activities, and support the implementation of initiatives throughout the season.

In this role, General Committee Members may assist with areas such as game day operations, events, communication, and club engagement. They work collaboratively with the Executive Committee to ensure the smooth running of the competition and help address matters as they arise.

General Committee Members are vital to the success of the league, providing valuable input, support, and a strong connection between the Committee and the broader football community.
